About Habitat for Humanity Mid-Vancouver Island
At Habitat for Humanity Mid-Vancouver Island our mission is “Habitat for Humanity brings communities together to help families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership” We were founded in Nanaimo in 1994 and are a registered non-profit charity; affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Canada. We serve the Mid-Island area from Mill Bay to Ucluelet. Habitat for Humanity builds homes for people who are lower income but have meanings and willingness to become a home owner. The families go through an application process, home ownership training and contribute 500 hours of Volunteer work on the build.
