About Hack_NCState

The premier annual hackathon at North Carolina State University, the top public university in the state for engineering and computer science. After being hosted virtually the past couple of years, it is now finally returning to in-person activities. A hackathon is a time-limited competition where participants form teams to create software projects to solve real-world problems. Participants of the hackathon can range from NC State students (undergrad/grad), students from other universities, as well as high-schoolers from the local area. In addition to the competition, hackathons provide participants a chance to network with ePartner sponsor companies, take part in technical workshops, grow from professional development sessions, and listen to prominent speakers from the tech industry/academia. At the end of the competition, participants' projects will be judged and prizes will be awarded to teams with the best solutions. Participants will also receive free meals during the event as well as various swag items (t-shirts, stickers, etc).
