Halcyon Home Care was created in response to the media attention on the plight of older people trying to live at home dependent on poor quality council commissioned care services. The business is an independent care agency focused on the elderly and sufferers from dementia. We believe the challenge of increasing expectations of living standards among an aging population is one that only start to be addressed by a care service committed to the provision of quality care practices. Our strategy is that quality care can only be delivered through a business applying the best management and HR practices by professional staff that are local to the customer and therefore more able to form a caring relationship based on a cultural empathy. Halcyon Home Care provides care services 7 days a week throughout the year. Each assignment is personally designed to meet the care needs and circumstances of the customer and their family requirements and is contained in a contractual Care Plan, with activities that can include helping people out of bed with personal hygiene care, through to doing the shopping, or preparing meals, drinks and medication management or tidying the kitchen and bathrooms. In all our assignments we aim to provide a good social interaction for customers and value communication skills very highly when selecting staff.
