About Half Step Equestrian

Half Step Equestrian was formed in 2020 by two young entrepreneurs Ashley Howells and Joshua Hill as a male orientated clothing brand for the equestrian industry. The conception and philosophy of which had been in development for years prior. Using the experiences of Joshua, a professional athlete within the equine sport dressage, the two came together to create a clothing brand for young male riders which they could feel confident wearing. As a young boy, Josh found that there was little suitable clothing for him; the offerings were limited, outdated, and extortionate, excluding so many people from this beautiful sport. Josh’s dream was simple, bring high quality yet affordable clothing options for male riders that gave them confidence in the profession they have chosen to do. Growing up as friends for over a decade, the two have lived different lives and undertaken different professions, but still came to the same conclusions based of their similar experiences. Ashley who grew up in performing arts and has been attached to many professional TV adverts and film projects was often met with the same stigma which Josh felt in his riding career. So, when the two met up again during this period of disarray, the product came naturally. Give both young boys and men a clothing option, which they can feel confident wearing so that they can perform at their best. Half Step plan to introduce high quality clothing that our customers can rely on, at an affordable price.
