Confidence is often half of the battle and all of our students learn in a safe and welcoming environment, feeling success each and every class. THE RIGHT TO READ Far too many students in Canada are disenfranchised by a curriculum that fails to build adequate reading capacity. This “reading challenge” is not a measure of intelligence; arguably, our students are some of the brightest in their classes, but they need to be taught the way the brain needs to learn. Our program is based on science. SYSTEMIC CHANGE The barriers between today and an equitable well-read tomorrow are real and require foundational shifts in approach and expectations. We celebrate the importance of “human capital.” The most important resource in our world is people and our children. Literacy and poor literacy levels are at the root of many issues. Let’s change this. EFFICIENT READING To read is not enough! The goal is to read efficiently, maximizing the imaginative potential of each brain and the economic impact of every individual. TEACHING TEACHERS Read a person a book, and they’re enthralled for a moment. Teach a person to read and they can live an enthralling life.
