About Hammerhead
The bicycle is a force of good in the world. From transportation to competition, cycling enhances the lives of everybody it touches, reliably making them healthier, fitter, and a better version of themselves. This quest for personal improvement and the benefits it confers are at the core of our mission at Hammerhead: Inspire & empower all people to unlock their athletic potential through cycling. Our first step towards this mission, H1, was an award-winning navigation device released in 2014. Simple, inexpensive, and inventive, the H1 used light patterns to give cyclists visual navigational directions without pulling their focus from what’s most important: the ride experience. In 2018, we released the Karoo 1, offering an elegant, visual solution to the shortcomings of existing GPS head units. Karoo combines a cutting-edge ruggedized hardware, and a responsive, full-color, high definition touchscreen with a user-friendly Android-based interface. This seamlessly integrates navigation, live data, and beautiful graphics that show you what you need to know quickly and without distraction. Our most recent step towards our mission is the Karoo 2. Released in 2020, the Karoo 2 packs all the software of the Karoo 1 into a lighter, smaller, more robust package. With additional hardware features, Karoo 2 will continue to unlock software potential in the years to come.
