Officially established in 2022, Handled With Love PetCare is a professional pet sitting and dog walking company that covers Brevard County and North Indian River County. Founded by Ashlie Torres, who in early 2022 decided to take a leap of faith and turn her passion for animals into a career. Ashlie began pet sitting in 2016, taking on small pet sitting jobs occasionally while working full time as a behavioral health case manager. As the need for pet sitting increased, so did Ashlie’s passion for animals. Being a pet parent herself, Ashlie also recognized how hard it was to find passionate, trustworthy, and reliable pet sitters. This fueled her desire to provide the community with top quality pet care. Starting off on her own, Ashlie embarked on her journey to provide the highest quality of pet care to local pet parents focusing on empathy, compassion, attention to detail, and excellent communication. In 2022, after experiencing a mass lay-off, Ashlie saw an opportunity to take her pet sitting to the next level and focus on it 100 percent. A dream turned reality, and Handled With Love PetCare was born! The business continues to grow and expand to new areas within Brevard and Indian River County. We strive to provide the highest-quality of pet care to the community and give pet parents peace of mind. Our goal is to make pet parenthood a little less stressful as we love your pets like our own family when you need to step away whether that be for business or leisure. We currently offer in-home overnight stays, family style overnight “boarding”, daily drop-in visits, and pet taxi services.
