About Hands Across the World
We implement quality education programs to empower communities to have an impact on the prevention of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and human slave labour. WE TRAIN TEACHERS TO EMPOWER COMMUNITIES THROUGH QUALITY EDUCATION! Our Vision Educated communities with a strong sense of their own worth, an imagination of an open future and possibilities to make their own choices. The International Labour Organization estimates 20.9 million people are victims of forced labour globally, 55% of which are women and girls (11.4 women and girls and 9.5 million men and boys), as are 98% of sex trafficking victims. So, why Teacher Training? What has our vision of a world with empowered communities who stand up against sexual exploitation, human slave labour and human trafficking got to do with teacher training? Human traffickers prey on people who are poor, isolated and without choices. Issues such as lack of opportunities, social exclusion and economic vulnerability are the result of policies and practices that marginalize entire groups of people and make them particularly vulnerable to being trafficked. It is our belief that if QUALITY education is given to every child in a safe environment through QUALIFIED teachers, they will have the chance to choose a better path in the future. We believe that quality education is the game-changer. So, we don´t build schools anymore, because we saw the empty classrooms caused by the lack of qualified personnel. We provide teacher training to schools of non-governmental-organisations and Public Primary Schools so kids won´t drop out of school due to the lack of impactful teaching anymore. The gap we found and filled is to make sure the teachers in these schools know what they are doing, and teach activity-based and in with enthusiasm. This will help to keep the children in school, to improve learning outcomes and successively enhance future life prospects. https://linktr.ee/handsacrosstheworld
