The company has been established since 1998 offering a range of transport solutions and has grown to become a highly professional logistics services provider. These services include groupage, multidrop deliveries, distribution, warehousing and handling. Handtrans has a reputation of being committed to customer satisfaction. As a progressive company, Handtrans moved to their current premises in 2002 which enabled the company to offer warehouse facilities to their customers with over 40,000 sq ft available. A pick and pack facility is also incorporated within the warehousing. Handtrans now have a modern 4 bay loading dock which enables the company to load and discharge trailers of various sizes and lengths. The facilities have recently been further improved with the construction of a 12,000 sq ft canopy which has allowed for all vehicles and trailers to be operated on undercover. In 2004, Handtrans joined Palletforce, the network offers dedicated pallet distribution throughout the UK and Europe. Due to the strength within the network membership, customer satisfaction is a key factor and this has enabled Handtrans to develop and expand, serving an ever increasing customer base of PLC and private companies. All vehicles operated by Handtrans have a telematics system fitted so enabling the company to track the vehicles on their journey’s throughout the UK and also provides information for the customer as well as the benefit of the traffic operator.. Another asset of the telematics system is that it enables Handtrans to reduce its carbon footprint as well as providing figures that are used for driver training and education.
