Thanks for stopping by! Hangerbee™ produces museum-quality padded clothing hangers that are safe for long-term garment storage. Our hand-assembled hangers are found in museums, boutiques, and closets across the country, from Alaska to the Smithsonian. Owner Lindsey Smith has 20+ years of experience working in and around the museum field. She padded her first hanger for a museum collection in 2002 and wondered why a DIY product like hers wasn’t readily available on the market. As a museum consultant, Lindsey had the opportunity to advise many museums in proper preservation practices and by 2014 she was still frustrated that a product like Hangerbee still didn’t exist. Most museums didn’t have the time or resources to sit around making their own hangers. So, in June of that year, she opened for business. Lindsey recently took the plunge and transitioned her business from “side hustle” to full time endeavor. She believes that every closet can benefit from a “handful of Hangerbee” and is actively developing new products to debut.
