About Hanning & Kahl
HANNING & KAHL GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned enterprise which was founded in 1898. It is now in the fourth generation in 100% family ownership. In Oerlinghausen, around 370 employees design, manufacture and sell safety-related customized solutions for rail-based transportation and industrial applications all over the world. We focus primarily on products for trams and light rail transit, and also for metros, not-federally owned lines, factory sidings and port railways. In 2017, the export share was around 58 per cent. The ideas, products and services provided by our four operating divisions are highly appreciated around the globe. These include hydraulic brake systems and levelling systems, sanding systems and track brakes as well as intelligent guiding systems, control and safety technology and service for all our products. Subsidiary companies like Verkehrsautomatisierung Berlin GmbH pave the way for customer-friendly synergy; together, we offer depot controllers and depot management systems from one source. To provide best possible service worldwide, we work together with 29 local partners (our foreign representatives). We have also set up our own service subsidiaries in the USA and China. We are currently concentrating on growth markets like China, the MENA region, and North and South America. Worldwide references and certification, such as the International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS), verify HANNING & KAHL’s internationality and competence.
