About Harbor Diesel and Equipment
Harbor Diesel and Equipment, Inc. was founded in San Pedro, California in 1971 as an authorized Full Service Dealer for the Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors. In 1976, Harbor Diesel moved to its present location in Long Beach consisting of approximately 53,000 sq. ft. of buildings on 1.5 acres of land and has grown into a company with annual sales volume in excess of $22 million and a staff of over fifty employees representing quality product lines and servicing several market segments. In 2004, our corporate operating name of HD Industries was established in order to encompass all of the product lines and diverse markets we represent. Today HD Industries – a division of Harbor Diesel and Equipment, Inc. primarily operates as the Southwestern Distributor of ZF Heavy Duty Off-Highway and On-Highway Driveline Products, the Southern California Dealer for Capacity of Texas Trailer Jockeys and Factory Authorized Full-Service Dealer for Cummins, Caterpillar (Truck and Marine), Detroit Diesel and John Deere Natural Gas On-Highway Engines. HD Industries also represents Baldwin and Racor Filters, and Parker Racor Village Marine watermakers and many other allied product lines. The challenges that face our business and our customers today are many and the quest is never ending. HD Industries continues to work closely with manufacturers as new products come to market. To ensure HD Industries provides the best after-sales service and support to our customers, we will make the necessary investment in employee training, special tooling and replacement part inventory. We continue to look for new opportunities to bring emission reduction and energy efficiency technology solutions as they are developed and proven to our customers in order to enhance and protect our environment. For 43 years, we at HD Industries have remained committed to our founding philosophy of providing the highest quality sales, parts and service to our customers throughout the world.
