About Hare, Chase & Heckman, Inc.: Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Commercial insurance and Life/Health. In 1867, shortly after the Civil War ended, R. Emmott Hare entered the insurance industry by opening his own Insurance Agency in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As this business grew a partnership was formed between Mr. Hare and Mr. Randall Chase and the firm of Hare & Chase was established. Due to causes lost to history, Mr. Chase eventually left the firm to form a new partnership with Rodman R. Heckman, Sr. and the firm of Chase & Heckman came into existence. Through the years both Hare & Chase and Chase & Heckman continued as independent organizations representing quality Insurance Companies while providing outstanding service to their respective customers. The firms were friendly competitors with the principals of each firm having a strong professional respect for each other. As time passed, the principals of Hare & Chase and Chase & Heckman realized that a higher level of customer service could be achieved if the two firms were to merge. Accordingly, in the year 2000 a merger took place and the firm of Hare, Chase & Heckman, Inc. was established with the business being located in Malvern, PA. At this time Hare, Chase & Heckman, Inc. maintains Agency as well as Brokerage agreements with many of the finest insurance companies that exist. Our client base, while centered in the surrounding tri-state area, includes businesses from coast to coast and border to border. To serve the needs of these diverse customers, we have separate Commercial Lines and Personal Lines departments which are interlinked through our state-of-the-art computer system. We are proud to be one of the oldest, privately owned Independent Insurance Agencies and we continue to do business the old fashioned way – with Consideration, Integrity and Honesty. .
