About Harm Reduction Consulting Services
Harm Reduction Consulting Services (HRCS) mission is to increase the development, implementation and provision of prevention, health care, and support services for substance users living with or at risk for contracting blood borne viruses (BBV) such as HIV and viral hepatitis by providing education, trainings and policy recommendations. HRCS is operated by Jason Farrell who has 30 years experience developing, implementing and managing innovative groundbreaking harm reduction services for individuals of all genders and sexual orientations. Mr. Farrell opened the first multi service integrated harm reduction/needle exchange program in the United States with an on site medical and dental clinic. Prior to moving to The Netherlands Jason worked as a consultant with the CDC’s DEBI team. At the CDC he assisted with the development of behavioral intervention trainings, writing manuals and was a national trainer. Consulting services available - Project development, including supervision and management of projects - Implement evidence based behavioral interventions to prevent HIV and HCV - Prepare and edit policy recommendations; service operation guidelines and training manuals - Design and implement targeted consumer/patient advocacy strategies - Provide effective capacity building assistance for HCV prevention, testing and treatment - Prepare and deliver curricula for trainings and skill building educational workshops - Strategic planning for provision of addiction care, medical treatment and prevention services - Design and implement quality assurance and consumer satisfaction assessments - Produce social marketing and outreach campaigns for patient acquisition
