About Harmony Garden Music Therapy Services

Harmony Garden Music Therapy Services (HGMTS) has been serving the Jackson, MI and surrounding communities since 2006, using music therapy to support healing, growth, and connection across the lifespan. What began as a solo practice has grown into a team of seven board-certified music therapists and one administrator, offering services to hundreds of individuals and families each year. We provide music therapy and early childhood programming for people of all ages and abilities - toddlers, children, teens, adults, older adults, and caregivers. Our services include: Harmony Garden Sprouts early childhood classes Generations in Harmony intergenerational programs Specialized groups for neurodiverse individuals and those with developmental disabilities Mental health support for children and teens (SED Waiver and Medicaid Waiver programs) Music therapy direct service or consultation in early childhood centers and schools Music therapy direct service in group homes, day programs, eldercare facilities, hospice, and palliative care Community concerts and family-friendly performances with The Harmony Gardeners Beyond therapy, we are passionate about building community through The Village Collective of Jackson, a new initiative supporting moms and families, and through our YouTube channel, best known for our “Song Stories - Read and Sing” singable children’s book series. At Harmony Garden, we believe music creates safe, equitable, and welcoming spaces for all. We are dedicated to anti-oppressive, inclusive practices and continually learning alongside our community.
