About Harmony in the Garden

I'm a lifelong gardener, living in Northern California, and founder of the garden design firm Harmony In The Garden. For the past decade I've been designing gardens with a unique style I call ‘California Fusion’ - a style which works best in the Bay Area’s mild Mediterranean climate. This style blends a client’s personal desires with regionally appropriate plants; it’s having a garden that’s appropriate for this climate – a garden which is drought tolerant and can withstand the long dry summers without looking like a hot and parched desert. Due to the success of these unique designs, my gardens have been featured in Fine Gardening and Fine Homebuilding magazines as well as regional newspapers and publications. I also write for a range of online and traditional publications, including Fine Gardening Online and Real Simple Online. In my blog Gossip in the Garden, I share gardening tips, design strategies and how-to videos for both the novice and experienced gardener.
