About HARMONY-the music school
Harmony-the music school was founded in August 2008 by one of India's leading music educator, vocal coach and singer Sandra Oberoi. Set up to equip, empower and educate children and adults in music and performance skill building, bespoke lessons are available in Singing - Classical Music, Pop vocals, Musical Theatre, Guitar, Drums, Violin, Piano and Music Theory. Over the years, students from Harmony have gone on to win international competitions and perform at Carnegie Hall and Musikverin, with many continuing their music studies at top universities worldwide including University of Oxford, Royal College of Music, Royal Northern College of Music, Temple University, National University of Singapore and Berklee College of Music. The Harmony Chorus directed by Sandra Oberoi, Harmony- the music school's award winning choir, reached INDIA'S TOP 8 on a national level reality singing show - Rising Star on Colors TV in 2018. As cultural ambassadors, they have performed internationally - at the UK Choir Festival where they won an award for Choral Excellence; St Giles Cathedral in Scotland; The Nehru Centre in London; the Embassy of India in Moscow, the largest cathedral in Russia, the prestigious Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, Peel Centenary Centre in the Isle of Man among other places. Students have consistently topped India in the ABRSM and LCM music examinations, and achieved the highest mark in the IGCSE, AS and A level music exams by Cambridge.
