About Harp Media
Founded in 2018, Harp Media is a multi-discipline film production company based in the midlands. We develop short and feature length films for general audiences, create corporate videos for brands and companies and provide training initiatives in all areas of filmmaking. We cover all aspects of production from idea generation to post production. Our most recent film ‘Drifting’ stars Emmy nominee Paul Mescal (Normal People), IFTA nominee Dafhyd Flynn (Michael Inside) and IFTA nominee (Lorcan Cranitch (The Dig). The film premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh last summer and has been acquired for worldwide distribution with Oscar-winning distributor Network Ireland Television. It has recently screened at a number of Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festivals over the last number of months and will screen at the Dublin International Film Festival in March 2021. It has been profiled in the Irish Times, Irish Independent, Irish Examiner, NME, Dazed magazine and more. The trailer has been viewed over 180,000 times on all platforms. Our first film ‘Angels Guard Thee’ stars Brian Fortune (Game of Thrones) and John Quinn (Love/Hate) and was released in 2018. The short was completed with the assistance of the Longford Arts Office and has toured to fifteen festivals thus far including Cork Film Festival, Dublin International Short Film Festival, Queens Film Festival, Switzerland Film Festival, Southampton Film Festival and more. It won Best Cinematography at the Queens Film Festival in New York. The film was sold to RTÉ and was broadcast as part of their Shortscreen programme in 2019. Harp Media was awarded runner-up in the Best Idea category of the Longford final of Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur in 2018 and Best Start-up category in 2019. Harp Media has received funding from bodies such as the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, Creative Ireland, Arts Council and Longford Arts Office.
