About Harper for Kids

Harper for Kids (“HFK”) is a children’s nonprofit organization based in SanFrancisco that was co-founded in 2008 by Tim Harper andPeanutLouieHarper. The mission of HFK is to provide children with educational and enrichment programs to cultivate, inspire and develop leadership skills and promote healthy character development. HFK’s Youth Character Development Program is based upon legendary UCLA Coach John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success and his “definition of success”, which he defines as: peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best you are capable of becoming. HFK's program helps K-12 schools incorporate Coach Wooden's Pyramid of Success into their Character Education, core curriculum and sports/PE. HFK uses Coach Wooden's award-winning children’s book "Inch and Miles: The Journey to Success" (which Peanut collaborated on along with co-author Steve Jamison) to teach children about Coach Wooden's Pyramid of Success.
