History: www.harvestfoundation.us The concept of the Harvest Foundation was developed over several decades. It began with a family’s philanthropic projects. Over time, these efforts were taken up by a corporation, though the projects were handled as separate charitable programs using donor advised funds. Finally, a decision was made to consolidate the programs under a private charitable foundation with a 501c3 determination from the IRS. This streamlined things, and provided several benefits in delivering the programs. Areas of Emphasis The Foundation has primary interests in the following areas, Under-served educational infrastructure Primary children’s health support Poverty alleviation programs. Micro-finance and entrepreneurial development Poverty alleviation through water management Disaster relief Christian purposes Geographic Presence Our charitable interests are not restricted by political boundaries. In either a domestic, or foreign venue, it is not difficult to find areas of need. Currently, projects are supported domestically, in Bangladesh, Africa, and Ecuador, with ongoing preliminary program development in Asia, and the Pacific Rim.
