Dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by asbestos-related diseases across the South, South East, London Boroughs, and Home Counties. HASAG Asbestos Disease Support is a trusted, regional charity with nearly 20 years of experience providing compassionate, practical, and expert help to those affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related conditions. Founded in 2006 by sisters Lynne and Diane after the heartbreaking loss of their father, Dave Salisbury, to mesothelioma, HASAG was born from personal experience and a desire to fill the gap in support that existed at the time. What began as a small local support group has grown into a well-respected charity with a team of dedicated staff - all of whom have personally experienced the impact of asbestos disease within their own families. Our services are tailored to meet the real needs of patients and their loved ones, including: • Benefits advice and claims support (including home visits and form filling) • Access to professional counselling for patients and families • Trusted legal guidance via partnerships with vetted solicitors • Regular coffee mornings and events to reduce isolation and build community • Support with bereavement and ongoing care • Fundraising and research partnerships, including part-funding of four Mesothelioma UK nurses and contributions to the June Hancock Mesothelioma Research Fund HASAG has raised over £900,000 to date and continues to work tirelessly to raise awareness, fund research, and provide direct support to those who need it most. At our core, we are a charity built on empathy, experience, and the unwavering belief that no one should have to face asbestos disease alone.
