My name is Bruce Lee. Really. No, I don’t know karate. I know how to write. Not novels though. I specialize in things such as websites and advertising. My writing explains the features and benefits of products and services. It persuades people to take action, such as purchasing a product or service. Unlike a lot of people in my business, I have a great deal of respect for the reader’s time and intelligence. For a long time I was Director of Advertising for West Coast consumer electronics retailer Magnolia Audio Video, where I was responsible for nearly all copy writing and creative concepts. While I was there, annual sales rose from under $10 million to nearly $150 million. (The company was purchased by Best Buy.) I have written many thousands of print ads, over a thousand radio commercials, lots of television ads and seemingly countless direct mail pieces and catalogs. I’ve written copy for web sites, e-mail marketing, personal profiles, brochures, resumes, one-sheets, book reviews, billboards...you get it.
