About Haven For Humanity

Haven for Humanity is a self-sustainable health and wellness education center whose goal is to maximize health and well-being while minimizing expenses. Haven for Humanity’s goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where each individual’s health, wellness, and happiness is a top priority. As a self-sustainable facility, the volunteer community staying at Haven will use permaculture techniques and strategies to cultivate our 40 acres into a low-maintenance edible-forest. We will provide an abundance of fruits and vegetables all year round – not only to those staying at Haven - but also to local schools and communities as well. By utilizing advanced technologies such as our bio-energy greenhouse, we will also demonstrate how to provide comforts such as clean and renewable energy, which will be utilized for heating, cooking, and electricity on site. In addition, the experience and expertise of our volunteers will help to create educational programs and seminars for people of all ages. This will give visitors unique tools and strategies that they can apply at home, in order to maximize their health and wellbeing at minimal expense. The volunteers visiting or staying at Haven’s site in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of upstate NY will identify and adjust their own daily habits in order to bring about optimal health and happiness for themselves, as well as all life on Earth.
