About Hawaii Fish Company
Hawaii Fish Company, Hawaii’s longest operating commercial aquaculture farm, was established in 1978. HFC’s North Shore AquaFarm has been successfully operating off the grid for more than 25 years, raising its North Shore Tilapia in floating cages located in a deep spring-fed pond. We are committed to providing premium quality fish to our customers. Over the years, HFC has taken great care in breeding a tilapia that is consistently pleasing in taste and appearance. In addition to selling to Chinatown's live market, HFC's North Shore Tilapia is served weekly at James Beard Award winning Chef Alan Wong’s Honolulu restaurant. As we expand our operations, we are committed to staying true to our goals for sustainability by exploring ways to integrate alternative energy resources, such as wind and solar, into our daily farm operations. We will be incorporating aquaponics to recycle our aquaculture water and fish waste nutrients to grow crops that are organic and food safe.
