About Hazel Park Promise Zone & College Access Network
The Hazel Park Promise Zone guarantee all resident graduates of Hazel Park High School the opportunity for postsecondary education by assisting them to (at minimum) obtain an Associate's degree completely free of charge. We do this by providing assistance with financial aid and then covering whatever other tuition costs remain. Additionally, we serve as the city's local college access network and provide one-on-one college admissions and financial aid counseling to students. To assist us in the pursuit of our goal to increase the college attainment and graduation rates of HPHS graduates, we provide K-12 college-related programming to help promote a college-going culture in the school district and the community.
