About Hci Resources Official
Hosken Consolidated Investments Limited (“HCI”) is a level 2 Black Empowerment investment holding company, listed in the financial sector of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The group has a current market capitalisation of R15bn and is involved in a diverse group of investments including hotel and leisure; interactive gaming; media and broadcasting; transport; mining; clothing and properties. The Group operates principally in South Africa, and generates the majority of its revenue from South Africa. The corporate headquarters of the group are located in Cape Town, South Africa. HCI Resources is a junior mining company formed by HCI in 2006 with Khusela Women Investments Pty Ltd (KWI) for the purpose of acquiring mineral resources, development of mines and the extraction of its resources to market and sell coal to the local and export markets. Prospecting rights were held for the Palesa, Mbali and Nokuhle reserves (all in South Africa). In 2010 KWI sold its’ remaining 20% share in HCIC to HCI making it a wholly owned subsidiary of HCI. Its head office is located in Midrand, South Africa whereas its coal mining operations are mainly situated in the Mpumalanga Province.
