About Headrush Films

A London-based film and TV production company founded by Harry Richards and Rufus Love. Richards is a BFI-selected director best known for his short film SANTI and Love is an OFFIE-nominated writer. Their first film together, directed by Richards and written by Love, launched at the end of 2024: CONTACT HOURS is a 25-minute short film about student suicide, told through the eyes of a university caretaker struggling to connect with his son. The psychological drama stars Kris Hitchen (Ken Loach's SORRY WE MISSED YOU) and George Osborne (THE PENDRAGON CYCLE). The film won Best British Short at Sunrise Film Festival and Gold for Best Casting at the Shark Awards. Following YAMAS!, the production company will be adapting Richards' short film SANTI into a 90-minute feature. There are further projects on the Headrush slate which the team plans to make in the future.
