Laney was founded in 1967 by Lyndon Laney who was a gigging musician in the UK’s vibrant 1960s music scene. Lyndon began building amplifiers for emerging local musicians such as Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. Approaching its 50th anniversary, Laney is one of the world’s leading brands for instrument amplification and sold in over 70 countries worldwide. Nowadays, Lyndon’s son James Laney is CEO for the Headstock Group.
