About HeadwayHealth Services
HeadwayHealth provides confidential counselling, psychological interventions and support to clients dealing with a range of emotional and health concerns. We work with General Practitioners as well as other health professionals and specialists, and are happy to discuss how we can support the provision of the very best multidisciplinary team care, or clients can contact us directly. We have a particular interest in caring of those dealing with a cancer diagnosis either as the person undergoing treatment, or the loved ones and carers. Changes to health can touch may different areas of life, and also work with younger adults and children when families face illness. We also offer an Intimacy clinic as this is an important and often neglected aspect of our health care; information and strategies can really help individuals and couple navigate changes in this personal area of their recovery. Clinical Psychologist Avnee Lagad provides The POTS Clinic, offering evidence-based interventions and strategies for those living with this often disabling and isolating invisible illness. In recognition of clients' concerns about diet, nutrition and cancer, we offer a input from a dietitian. Appointments can be made at our clinics in Frenchs Forest, Wahroonga, North Sydney, St Leonards, or via telehealth anywhere around Australia. We are all actively involved in professional development ourselves as well as providing input to colleagues and patients at support groups and information sessions.
