Heal the helpers is a youth-led mental health and wellness initiative supporting black healthcare students. Founded by Boluwatito Mafikuyomi, our mission is to create safe, culturally-rooted spaces where students can share experiences, access peer support, and build resilience while navigating the unique challenges of healthcare education. Through healing circles, workshops and resource sharing, we center the voices of black students and address the stigma, isolation, and systemic barriers that often affect their mental health. Heal the Helpers is more than a program, it is a growing community committed to equity, belonging, and care.
