About Healing Reins

Healing Reins; Growth With Unbridled Potential, was founded in 2003 and offers Equine Therapy and Equine Interactive learning for people of all ages. We work with individuals, couples and families as well as corporate groups interested in team building skills and increased productivity. Equine Therapy is an experiential model of therapy that engages the whole person in the process of growth and healing. All of our work is non-mounted work - no riding is involved. Each person stands on equal ground and brings into the arena a readiness for interactive learning. The power of the horse as a partner in learning is the fact that they are highly intuitive animals and they will reflect or mirror human behavior and emotion ~ allowing us the opportunity to see ourselves within the context of safe and unbiased relationship. Our personal styles of relating, problem solving, communicating and interacting, come alive before our eyes. As we have a chance to see ourselves interacting, we have the chance to ask whether or not our personal style of engagement is working for us and/or whether we might like to make some changes in order to get a different response. Most often our styles of interacting in the arena reflect our styles if interacting in our homes and work places.
