My name is Odis McKinzie and I’m a person-centered, clinical generalist who is passionate about helping my clients through their various life transitions be it career change, grief and loss, premarital and couples, divorce and relationship transitions to include partner betrayal, family of origin (FOO) issues, veterans reintegration to civilian life, pre-deployment and post-deployment transitions, pursuit of life purpose, christian counseling, trauma, sex addictions and sexualized trauma, healthy sexuality, anger management, substance abuse, dual diagnosis, parenting skills and family team building, domestic violence (DV) transition, forensic work with courts, divorce mediation, clinical supervision, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counseling, and Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD). I’ve developed an alternative reintegration program for veterans returning from war and their family members. This is a four-tier program that includes individual and group work for vets, family members and children, ensuring family continuity and cohesion post deployment, ultimately leading to stability in military or civilian life. I offer a judgment-free, peaceful, life-nurturing, mindfulness-focused practice, where clients can unpack, engage, and heal from life stressors, soul woundedness (mental, physical, emotional, sexual, spiritual, and verbal), and moral injuries suffered during deployment-related combat exposure.
