About Health and Prescription Services
MISSION STATEMENT To promote health and better quality of life by assisting and empowering those in need. HISTORY Health & Prescriptions Services originated in Jackson County in 1960. This agency was formed in order to assist those in our community that were victims of polio, cancer, tuberculosis and muscular dystrophy. The program has operated under several different names and its scope of services has both changed and expanded over the years. Health & Prescription Services is a non-profit 501c3 agency, and is fully funded by the United Way of Jackson & George Counties. It is governed by a Board of Directors who are volunteers from the community, and overseen by an Executive Director.
