About Health Care For All
Health Care For All (HCFA) is one of the nation's leading state-based, non-profit consumer health care advocacy organizations. HCFA advocates for health justice in Massachusetts by working to promote health equity and ensure coverage and access for all. HCFA envisions a day when everyone in Massachusetts has the equitable, affordable, and comprehensive care they need to be healthy. HCFA's direct service program, the Consumer Assistance HelpLine, assists individuals and families statewide, and informs HCFA’s coalition and policy work to develop solutions that address health care access barriers at the systemic level. The HelpLine takes an average of 20,000 calls per year from residents of the Commonwealth seeking to enroll in or troubleshoot issues with health coverage. HCFA HelpLine counselors are experts in all facets of public and private health insurance and they provide services in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
