With 20 years of professional and practical experience, we provide consulting services to corporations to help them maintain their employees who are facing family caregiving challenges. We also provide information and resources directly to the family caregiving community. Providing care to a family member with healthcare needs can affect every area of the Family Caregiver's life including employment and relationships causing extenuating stress. Healthcare Advocates exists to help Family Caregivers identify, prepare for and manage all the aspects that surrounds the much needed responsibilities of family caregiving. Healthcare Advocates is proactive by helping employers retain, motivate and support their employees who are faced with caregiving tasks. Many corporations experience unexpected turnover from long-term employees due to the stress of family caregiving; in part due to employees failing to self-identify as a Family Caregiver. Becoming a family caregiver may start during an acute emergency or a slow evolution of a disease that may include responsibilities that become insurmountable over time. In both instances employment becomes a back seat to an employee's usual responsibilities.
