About Heart and Soul Health

I’m Dr. LaTashia Kiel, Family Nurse Practitioner turned Health Coach. For many years, I thought becoming a nurse practitioner was the ultimate position to truly help people on their journeys to health and wellness. However, after working in this role for several years, I realized that our healthcare system isn’t set up to adequately care for people the way they need to be cared for. I became disenfranchised with the system I had grown to love after realizing the emphasis on sick care and the lack of prevention care. I wanted to spend time with my patients listening to their stories, educating them about their bodies needs, and helping them to develop plans for optimal health. My focus on high blood pressure and weight loss is because these topics are near and dear to my life journey in prevention. I know the tools to get you well.
