About Heart of the Valley YMCA
Since 1910, the YMCA in Huntsville and North Alabama has provided a wide array of programs and services for children of pre-school, youth, and teen ages, as well as adults and seniors, families, and individuals. Our programs focus on accomplishing our mission of by exemplifying the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in our areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Our Mission To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Working to ensure that no one is turned away from YMCA programs or services because of an inability to pay for them. Heart of the Valley YMCA serves more than 23,000 members through seven locations: Southeast Family YMCA and Downtown Express YMCA in Huntsville; the Hogan Family YMCA in Madison; YMCA Camp Cha-La-Kee in Guntersville; and the YMCA Downtown Child Development Center, YMCA Southeast Child Development Center and YMCA Northwest Child Development Center.
