About Heartland Behavioral Health
Heartland Behavioral Health is a children’s behavioral health hospital located on a 50-acre campus in Nevada, MO. We offer short-term, acute psychiatric hospitalization, and a longer-term, residential treatment with very specialized programming catered to each individual child in our care. Our mission is to provide programs and services that will improve the overall health and well-being of children and their families. We do this by providing children with a safe and structured environment to begin the process of healing and behavioral change. Children have the opportunity to explore their innate creativity and benefit from the healing powers of nature through; expressive therapy, activity therapy, and our 5,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor equestrian center.
