About HEDAC

Honduras Education Advancement by creating and maintaining an environment that helps children achieve their full potential. Our approach is not one of charity, but one of assistance. We provide materials and require that they provide the labor and engage in community service activities so that they take ownership. Our focus is in three areas, traditional education (supporting their existing public schools), building and managing an after school facility and in beginning stages of building a vocational/technical school. Self-sustainability of programs is our goal. Currenlty HEDAC works with 13 schools representing over 3,000 students from grades 1 - 9 in eight different communities.
