HEIMAT ATLANTICA is a socially responsible, accessible-luxury handmade accessories brand which is selectively distributed in the high-end fashion retailers and has been very well referenced in the fashion press. HEIMAT ATLANTICA is above and beyond all a project about weaving tradition into modernity through the processes of art history, design and collage in space, conventions and time. The brand became popular with its first project, the HEIMAT TALISMAN limited edition of handbags which are a hand-made collage of traditional hand-woven reed basket, handcrafted leather and porcelain fetiches (charms) from Sargadelos that serve to different purposes like helping you to find love. HEIMAT ATLANTICA have gained international presence with well known stockists like Colette, Barneys, Dover Street Market, Matchesfashion, Le Bon Marché and The Webster to name a few and last year the brand launched an exclusive bag in collaboration with the Japanese label Comme des Garcons.
