Helderberg Community Policing is a registered Section 21 Company (operating without profit or financial gain) that trades as Helderberg Crime Watch (HCW). HCW's function is, through monthly public subscriptions and donations, to serve the community by providing pro-active patrols in participating wards to prevent criminal activities, thus making our streets and neighbourhoods safer. At the same time HCW provides contributors with the peace of mind that in the event of an incident or emergency, they can phone the control room for an Armed Response, 24/7 on 021 851 2100 ,Furthermore the funding is put towards a state of the art control room which is host to a fully integrated communication network which is in contact with SAPS, Law Enforcement, Traffic and all HELDERBERG SAFETY INITIATIVE (HSI) members (FIDELITY-ADT, AM SECURITY and VETUS SCHOLA) to provide patrol vehicles and patrol officers that operate under the Helderberg Crime Watch banner. These HCW patrol vehicles differ from the normal alarm response vehicles in that alarm response vehicles do not normally carry out pro-active patrolling. By forming this alliance with FIDELITY-ADT, AM SECURITY and VETUS SCHOLA HCW benefits from the HSI partners sophisticated patrol management infrastructure. The HCW control room also does camera monitoring for a number of estate complex clients as well as various block, street and neighbourhoods watches.
