We welcome you to come and explore Helen Winnemore’s! Our shop focuses on usable, wearable art handcrafted in America. Considered the oldest store of its kind in the United States, Helen Winnemore’s has been in continuous operation since 1938 and still follows many of the traditions established at that time. When you open the door to our shop, you will be invited to make yourself at home as you explore 8 rooms of American made crafts. As you wander through the shop you will discover windows lined with blown glass, shelves of functional and decorative pottery, 40 drawers of handmade jewelry, carefully handcrafted purses and bags, American made toys and so much more. Our well-informed staff act as the curators of our gallery, ready to help you find the perfect piece. While you are here, you are welcomed to touch and try on and play, to get to know our pieces in a hands-on way. Helen Winnemore’s is conveniently located in the heart of German Village, near many other independently-owned, local businesses including Schmidt’s Sausage Haus, The Old Mohawk, the Fudge Shop, Winans Chocolate’s and Coffee, The Red Stable, The Book Loft, Tiki Botanical, Urban Sundry, Lindey’s, Pistacia Vera and more. Free on-street parking is available just outside our doors. Regular Hours: Monday-Saturday 11am-6pm Sunday 12-5 Holiday Hours (Thanksgiving to Christmas): Extended Hours.
