About Helena's House
BestLife offers the highest quality away-from-home experiences for 6 to 19 year olds who live with disability. Heléna's House will be a purpose built home for Bestlife to run their programs out of. A special and much needed place where teenagers and young people living with disabilities can take that next step to independence; living together, learning life skills and building lifelong friendships. Heléna’s House is named in honour of Heléna McIlwain, beloved friend and member of the Bestlife family, who had a passion for supporting people with disability and dreamed of becoming an Occupational Therapist. Late in 2019 we experienced the unimaginable loss of our much-loved Heléna. BestLife now have an angel guiding us, and in her memory, we will be naming our new home Heléna’s House.
