Helmsley Wines is a family run, independent wines and spirits merchant based in the market town of Helmsley on the edge of the North York Moors. Helmsley Wines was established in November 2013 by husband and wife team, Mal & Jayne Potter, and over the past four and a half years has grown to become a widely respected and nationally known store, with an ever expanding and regular customer base. Helmsley Wines offers a fabulous range of wines, gins, whiskies and spirits, and this is something that we are very proud of. All of our products are carefully sourced and selected to offer our customers the best quality possible. This does involve lots of tastings (it’s a hard job, but someone’s got to do it!!), and visits to vineyards to source suppliers. We don’t like to compromise the quality of our products, and if something isn’t good enough, then we won’t supply it. It is very important to us that our customers are offered the best range possible, with price points to suit all needs and occasions. Helmsley Wines’ philosophy is the desire to source and select the best possible wines, at the best possible prices, and to deliver these to our customers. The world of wine can sometimes be a little daunting, but our aim is to provide friendly and professional advice and help to our customer to learn and experience new wines, and to make buying quality wine from an independent wine merchant as accessible as possible.
