About Hemper Handmade

We are Hemper, a regenerative brand of backpacks and other accessories handmade using hemp as our main material. We work with artisans on the outskirts of Kathmandu, where we manufacture hemp yarn, textile fabrics and the final garments. We are committed to this textile fibre because of its characteristics, which make it one of the most sustainable fibre. Moreover, it has great potential as a driver of change and social and economic development in Nepal. We work towards a value chain that generates a positive impact for all the agents involved. The company was founded by 6 young adults at the end of 2015, after having volunteered in this country. We travel regularly to Nepal to ensure high quality production as well as to develop several projects aimed at improving the quality of life of the workers. The textile industry is a sector in urgent need of change and we are working on that mission. Join us and help us to improve the world. 🌱
