I Don't Need Help. LFRP provides a 1-day evidence-based LEAP (Listen-Empathize-Agree-Partner)® Course that trains family members and professionals how to effectively communicate and build trusting relationships with people struggling with mental illness and ANOSOGNOSIA—a neurological symptom that leaves a person unable to understand that s/he is ill, resulting in treatment refusal, isolation, homelessness, involuntary hospitalization and criminalization. With the support and collaboration of organizations, government agencies and private foundations, HACA brings the LEAP® Course and Train-the-Trainer Course to communities and organizations nationwide.
