About Herbal Hummingbird Hub

We serve people, plants, and pollinators by tending to herb gardens, teaching herbal medicine, and stewarding racial and environmental healing. With our Hummingbird Corridor Project, we envision a network of sanctuary gardens along the migration route of the Ruby-throated hummingbird and beyond. These gardens will be connected by pollinators, by the knowledge of herbal medicine we exchange with one another in our classrooms and gardens, and by the sharing of mutual aid to communities in need. ~~~ NON-PROFIT LEARNING CENTER We focus on creating healing gardens for medicinal plants, pollinators, and people; a place for contemplation, for remembering the medicine plants of our ancestors, for learning how to tend herb gardens, and for participating in racial and environmental healing and ancestral medicine circles. We acknowledge the plants, pollinators, and Ancestors of this place as our teachers. Foundational to our curriculum is Reciprocity and Kindness. We offer a variety of programs during the summer months that include scheduled herb walks, garden meditations, classes on growing, gathering and preparing herbal medicines, rejuvenating soil with Biodynamic practices and compost, and internships for people who identify as Black, Latinx, Asian, and Indigenous of all genders. A PLACE OF SANCTUARY We believe places of Sanctuary and stillness are essential in these times for supporting the health of people’s nervous systems. Quiet places of beauty offer opportunities to heal and envision a peaceful, equitable and harmonious world. When our hearts and minds have rested, we can return to our communities with plant knowledge and Earth-centered skills to share. We offer retreats and herbal mutual aid for people who identify as Black, Latinx, Asian, and Indigenous of all genders.
