HHP was founded in 2016 by Michael Herbst and Marc-Olaf Hilgenfeldt, two experienced and highly regarded corporate finance advisors in the German and European TMT market with 30+ years of experience, having advised on over €200bn of completed transactions. Michael was previously Managing Director at UBS Investment Bank’s TMT Team in London and then led and built the Jefferies Telecoms team in London. Marc-Olaf was also a senior member of UBS Investment Bank’s TMT Team in London and then joined Jefferies to build their TMT activities in the German speaking region. We are able to assist clients throughout the lifecycle of their company, starting from early growth financings, advising on potential add-on acquisitions and joint ventures to successful exits. Our team’s experience ranges from raising significant amounts of capital for pre-revenue companies such as Waipu.tv (Freenet) to trade sales and IPOs of large and mature businesses such as the sale of Scout by Deutsche Telekom (largest Internet M&A deal in Germany), as well as complex mergers and public takeovers such as Vodafone/Mannesmann (largest hostile M&A deal ever globally) or debitel/Freenet. We help prepare a company for the transaction process providing assistance in due diligence preparation, analysing all potential transaction options and potential targets/ buyers / investors, creation of marketing materials and contract negotiations.
