About HereTogether Oregon

No matter our race, gender, or income we all want to get and keep a roof over our heads. Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. HereTogether is committed to tackling the complex and deeply rooted issue of homelessness in pursuit of a Portland region where everyone has access to housing, supportive community, services, and income that allows them to thrive. HereTogether emerged in 2019 as a coalition of diverse stakeholders working to secure the resources necessary to tackle our region-wide crisis. After championing the passage of the Supportive Housing Services measure – our nation’s largest per-capita homeless services revenue stream – HereTogether evolved into a coalition watchdog advocating for robust, equitable, and effective implementation of the program. We unite service providers, business leaders, elected officials, and advocates to scale our region’s efforts against homelessness, all working towards a shared vision: a future where everyone has a safe, secure place to call home. Some of the ways we work in the community include: - We facilitate collaboration and discussion among our coalition partners and community members. - We train nonprofit communicators to shift public perceptions and rally support for proven solutions. - We engage coalition members in monthly meetings to address pressing issues and keep each other informed about what’s going on in our community. - We publish a curated guide each month for people like you – it’s all about how the Portland region is addressing the homeless crisis and what needs to happen next.
