About Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne
The United Methodist Memorial Home (UMMH) owns and operates Heritage Pointe of Warren, Heritage Pointe of Huntington, and Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne. The United Methodist Memorial Home and the United Methodist Memorial Home Foundation are managed and directed by a Board of Trustees. The United Methodist Memorial Home was established in 1907 with a gift of money and 200 acres of farm land from William and Ruth Chopson. The Chopsons requested the United Methodist Church use the gift to establish a retirement home. The first resident building with 37 rooms was completed in the Spring of 1910 in Warren, IN. The United Methodist Memorial Home is an Indiana not-for-profit corporation which is affiliated with the United Methodist Church, a not-for-profit religious organization; specifically, The Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church. Located in Allen County, Indiana, Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne welcomed its first residents in 2015 and offers all the pleasures and conveniences of modern retirement living. It offers spacious residential and assisted living apartments, healthcare accommodations, rehabilitation suites, and private, free-standing villas. Unique to this campus is its architectural design, art gallery, fitness center, Bistro (open to residents and to the public) and close proximity to activities of city life. Rated 5 stars by CMS.
